Become a Marianne Pernold Legacy Society member today!

Marianne Pernold was a true supporter of the arts, and a well-known figure around town – some may call her a Portsmouth icon. Throughout her life, her passion for photography was constant, an extension of her ability to forge relationships and connections, even among strangers. Her natural talent to capture human expression found her photographing generations of Seacoast families, as well as breast cancer survivors, and other community members.

As a long-time friend of Arts In Reach, Marianne knew the positive impact of the arts on the lives of young women. Through her generosity, she supported AIR’s mission to give teens a voice and provide a safe place to express their feelings.

AIR is honored to name our Planned Giving Program after Marianne, whose spirit, wisdom, and enthusiasm for life was and will always be an inspiration to all.

Make a positive impact on the lives of teenage girls for generations.

AIR Board Member, Katyanne Zink and her daughter Alice

When Katyanne joined AIR, she was a quiet, 12-year-old from a lower-income family, had no friends, and was bullied at school. She lacked the confidence to speak up in class or join school activities. After her involvement in AIR, she gained the self-assurance and skills to pursue her interests in high school, earn a college degree, and to become professionally employed as a nurse at a local hospital.

Recently, she joined the AIR Board as our first alumna representative. “As an original ‘AIR Girl,’ it has been unbelievable to watch the program continue to grow, adapt, and really flourish, says Katyanne. Being a mother to a beautiful daughter, I know first-hand the importance of sustaining AIR for future generations of teenage girls.”

Leave a legacy gift that makes an impact!
