Here is one of your backstage passes into our programs. Most people see the end result of our showcases and not what leads up to them. During our February Voice Intensive program we had creative writing workshops amongst learning ten songs and choreography. Here is one of the amazing poems that one of our teens wrote during those workshops.
Please remember me
Take in my old forgotten secrets
Bind them in books for families in the past
Let my scars shine brighter than any morning sunrise
Paint the faces of my children and my children’s children with words of love
Please remember me so I am not forgotten like the small sweet whisper of a dying tree
Or the rough texture of a boot print embedded in the melting white snow
