PORTSMOUTH — AIR¿3S Artspace...PMAC¿WOW! This is not a bunch of gibberish, it's three community arts organizations coming together to create something that makes you want to dance in the street!
This summer about 45 young women from Rockingham and Stafford counties will be empowered by the arts. This has been the mission of Arts in Reach (AIR) for 15 years and it is impacting the lives of those who participate.
Arts In Reach says "THANK YOU" to all of the wonderful support from the community. Foster's Daily Democrat highlights the AIR event at the 100 Club hosted by local philanthropist, Paul McKeon.
Segan Rodney’s self-portrait is designed to look magical.
A book of poetry from 1860 and a first edition of Robinson Crusoe represent the past, but wings stand for the freedom to change.
“I do love tradition and classics. But new beginnings, they’re not bad,” Rodney said. “I’m open to new ideas.”
The high school sophomore from Barrington said the words on her self-portrait are some that surround us every day, and we have to decide which affect who we are.
As featured in the Portsmouth Herald: The Seacoast community joins together to create opportunity for young women in high school through the Phenomenal Women Project, an Arts In Reach afterschool program.
For Jenny, AIR became a place where the only expectation was to believe in herself, where she was encouraged to use her VOICE to express her emotions and opinions without judgment, and where she began to communicate her feelings. Click here for the full story.
As featured in Foster's Daily Democrat: Super Women was presented by AIR teens at the Johnson Theater at the University of New Hampshire on December 11, 2010. The teen girls in the performance celebrated the super women in their lives and the super woman inside themselves.

“My husband recently lost his job, so I was thinking that we wouldn’t be able to afford any sort of camps or programs this summer for my kids. When I heard about this program from the school, I said, ‘thank you, thank you, thank you!’”
